It’s Time to Start Thinking About Required CECs for ACSC Renewal
Air Systems Cleaning Specialist (ASCS) certifications must be renewed by June 30 each year, and NADCA requires six (6) Continuing Education Credits (CECs) for ASCS renewal.
Wondering how you can earn those CECs? We have NEW OPTIONS this year!
To earn required CECs, many technicians attend our Fall Technical Conference and/or Annual Meeting each year, but the coronavirus pandemic made travel difficult and forced many events for just about every industry to go virtual.
But there’s good news! For the first time ever, NADCA is offering three (3) CEC sessions from our recent Annual Meeting as a bundled webinar package that’s available for purchase! Viewing all three webinars will get you all six required CECs! It really can’t get much easier. You can watch all three session recordings at any time that's convenient for you. Then, you’ll take a short multiple-choice quiz, and if you get a passing score, you’ll earn all six of your CECs required for ASCS renewal!
Presentations Include:
- How Duct Cleaning Fits into IAQ Practices in Facilities, presented by Mike White, ASCS, CVI
- ACR, The NADCA Standard: 2021 Edition, presented by Bill Lundquist, ASCS, CVI
- COVID-19: Clear Understanding of Chemical Applications in Duct Work, presented by Cole Stanton
So, even if you weren't able to travel to the 32nd Annual Meeting in March 2021, you can still experience some of the excellent content that was delivered to our in-person attendees!

The webinar bundle is also available as a ‘Train-the-Trainer’ program. This means you can purchase the bundle once for yourself and complete the quiz after reviewing each recording. Then, you can utilize the recordings and the supporting session materials to train your own techs!
Also new this year, as of March 2021, CECs can be earned by simply reading a specific article in each edition of DucTales magazine, and then taking (and passing) a short quiz. For example, the cover story in the March/April 2021 edition, “Fundamentals of a High Velocity System,” is worth one (1) CEC. Each issue will offer members a new opportunity to get a CEC. This new program is available to members only.
In addition, NADCA offers lots of other webinars on a variety of topics that can be taken on-demand for training and educational purposes, and to earn CECs toward ASCS renewal. Simply select the webinar you wish to purchase, view the webinar and corresponding materials, and then pass a short quiz to obtain a certificate of completion, which can then be submitted to NADCA for CECs.
