NADCA Joins the Global Conversation on Ventilation and Healthy Indoor Air for World Ventil8 Day 2025

[FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE]

Mount Laurel, NJ – November 3, 2025 — The National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) is proud to participate in World Ventil8 Day 2025 on November 8, 2025, by raising awareness of the vital role ventilation plays in creating healthier indoor environments.

This year’s theme, “Collaborate to Ventilate,” celebrates how professionals, organizations, and researchers across sectors are working together to improve indoor air quality (IAQ). In that same spirit, NADCA is highlighting the importance of collaboration among HVAC professionals, public health organizations, and building science experts to promote cleaner, safer air for all.

“The movement toward healthier buildings is gaining momentum, and collaboration is key to turning awareness into action,” said Kim Wieland, MPH, Chief Strategy Officer at NADCA. “By combining efforts across sectors and linking science, standards, and real-world application, we can deliver proven solutions that make a measurable impact on indoor air quality.”

Indoor pollutants from cooking, cleaning, and construction can accumulate in HVAC systems, affecting air quality and occupant health. NADCA’s standards and training programs, including ACR, The NADCA Standard, help ensure that ventilation systems are properly inspected, cleaned, and maintained to reduce these exposures and support effective source control, as outlined by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Through its global partnerships, consumer education initiatives, and the Breathing Clean campaign, NADCA continues to raise awareness about how ventilation, maintenance, and source control work together to reduce contaminants and improve building performance.

“The work ahead is collaborative, continuous, and filled with possibility,” added Wieland. “Cleaner air begins here, and together, we can help every building breathe better.”
