NADCA Appoints Kim Wieland, MPH, as Chief Strategy Officer to Advance Standards, Science, and Public Health Leadership
Mount Laurel, NJ — July 15, 2025 — The National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) proudly announces the appointment of Kim Wieland, MPH, as its first-ever Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), a pivotal move that reflects the organization’s bold commitment to shaping the future of indoor air quality (IAQ) through science, standards, and strong partnerships.
This newly created role is designed to diversify and strengthen NADCA’s leadership at a time when the conversation around IAQ is more urgent than ever. Wieland will work alongside NADCA CEO Jodi Araujo, CEM, to elevate the association’s strategic initiatives and expand its reach across the public health, building science, and HVAC communities.
“Kim’s appointment signals an evolution for NADCA and the future of our industry. This is the culmination of years of resources dedicated to validating the work of our members with scientific exploration and expansion, creating space for our niche service as part of the larger IAQ conversation,” said Jodi Araujo, CEM, CEO of NADCA. “She brings the strategic insight and public health expertise we need to deepen our influence, foster stronger collaboration across sectors, and ensure our standards evolve with science, technology, and the needs of the built environment.”
Wieland’s background in public health policy, coalition-building, and program development will serve as a catalyst for expanding NADCA’s technical leadership and external engagement. She will work closely with NADCA’s Board and technical committees to advance the association’s standards and best practices, ensuring they remain rigorous, relevant, and aligned with emerging research and field realities.
“I’m honored to join NADCA at this transformative moment,” said Wieland. “Indoor air quality is no longer a niche issue…it’s a vital part of how we define safe, healthy spaces. NADCA’s longstanding commitment to excellence, ethical practice, and evidence-based standards puts it in a powerful position to lead. I’m excited to help amplify that leadership in ways that support both our members and public health.”
As CSO, Wieland will also focus on cultivating partnerships with standards bodies, research institutions, health organizations, and industry leaders, ensuring NADCA’s work resonates across sectors and supports a shared vision of healthier indoor environments.
This appointment marks a strategic investment in NADCA’s future: one that strengthens its mission, supports its members, and champions the essential role of HVAC hygiene professionals in protecting occupant health and well-being.
