Highlights from NADCA’s 34th Annual Meeting & Exposition

Posted on 03/31/2023

That’s a wrap for NADCA’s 34th Annual Meeting & Exposition, and what an amazing event it was! This year’s meeting offered an impressive program packed with educational sessions led by influential and inspiring presenters and exceptional industry leaders, with several sessions focused on the larger IAQ space as NADCA works to gather science-based evidence to validate and build credibility for the air duct cleaning industry.

This year, we welcomed 526 attendees, with over 170 attending for the first time! In addition, there were 106 ASCS and 31 CVI training course participants! And in the always-popular Exposition Hall, 36 exhibitors showed off a superb array of products, services, and more.

Thanks to everyone who attended, with special thanks to all our sponsors and exhibitors – without them, NADCA events would not be possible!

Held at the spectacular Hilton New Orleans Riverside, this year’s event took place March 27-29, 2023. NADCA’s Annual Meeting & Exposition is always the place to be for certifications, networking, camaraderie, and the opportunity to gain valuable insights, tips, and ideas that are guaranteed to help grow air duct cleaning and inspection businesses across the globe. This year’s conference delivered all that, and more!

After a full day of pre-conference training courses for ASCS and CVI certifications and our annual golf outing, the conference officially kicked off Monday evening with a welcome reception in the exhibit hall.

The first full day of conference sessions started bright and early on Tuesday with the keynote, ‘Fully Staffed: How to Find and Keep Great Employees in Difficult Labor Markets’ by Eric Chester — an acclaimed in-the-trenches workforce researcher and thought leader who’s been studying, analyzing, speaking, and writing about attracting, managing, motivating and retaining top talent since 2001. He talked about how savvy employers have made bold moves, implemented guerrilla-style recruiting tactics, and transformed the way the hiring and retention game is played.

After Tuesday morning’s keynote, we got down to business with our General Business Meeting. It’s there that NADCA introduced April Yungen, ASCS, CVI as our newest elected (and first female) President & Chairwoman of the Board!

April founded Air Management Industries in 1997. The company provides commercial air duct cleaning and air balancing services throughout Southern California. She serves as Chair of NADCA's Certification Committee, Membership Committee, Standards Committee, By-Laws Policies Procedures Committee, Editorial Committee, and Regional Coordinators Subcommittee. She is also a member of the of Anti-Fraud Task Force and Editorial Committee. She has served on the NADCA Board of Directors since 2015.

The NADCA Member Party took place Tuesday evening at the infamous Republic NOLA, in the heart of the Arts/Warehouse District of downtown New Orleans. NADCA parties are always unforgettable, and keeping with tradition, guests made memories to last a lifetime, starting with a New Orleans-style parade to the event venue, led by New Orleans’ finest, a marching jazz band, and stilt-walkers! The member party was sponsored by Sunbelt Rentals.

On Wednesday, it was a packed house for our very first session with Dr. Mark Hernandez providing updates on our ongoing Energy Study (CEC Session). On the heels of the opening session, attendees participated in a full day of educational sessions including:

We are humbled by the energy all our guests, presenters, exhibitors, and sponsors brought to the event. NADCA’s 34th Annual Meeting and Exposition was truly phenomenal, and we are so incredibly appreciative.
