Being honored as the 2016 inductees are Matt Mongiello, ASCS, of Interior Maintenance Company, based out of Lansdowne, PA, and Tommy Gwaltney, ASCS, of Air Quality Systems, Inc., of Atlanta, GA.
“Both Matt and Tommy have played a crucial role in advancing the association and the profession to where it is today,” said NADCA president Michael Vinick, ASCS, CVI. “This recognition is well-deserved and we are proud that both Matt and Tommy are a part of the NADCA leadership.”
About Matt Mongiello, ASCS
Matt Mongiello, ASCS, served on the NADCA Board of Directors from 2003-2015, holding terms in every officer position.
Mongiello was instrumental in changing the focus of NADCA’s marketing committee and spearheading efforts to market the association on a national level. His leadership paved the way for the industry and public relations committee to arise with a key objective of marketing NADCA members directly to consumers.
As the chair of the education committee, Mongiello assisted in the development of online training for NADCA members, which culminated in the filming of the Ventilation Maintenance Technician (VMT) training series. As NADCA’s president from March 2011 – March 2013, he drove the completion of the updated standard for the Assessment, Cleaning and Restoration of HVAC Systems—the ACR Standard, encouraged the drive for international membership, and steered NADCA through the transition to a new management company.
Mongiello currently serves as co-owner of Interior Maintenance Company, which provides air duct cleaning, hood cleaning, janitorial maintenance, and other specialty cleaning services to the Mid-Atlantic region.
