NADCA Says, "It's Healthy Lung Month -- Time to Vent!":

NADCA encourages members to spread the word that October is "Time to Vent" for homeowners and building managers. In other words, it's a good time of the year to remind your clients they need to take the vent cover off of their HVAC system to have it inspected.
NADCA has compiled a press release for all members to use when promoting their services this month.
NADCA encourages members to use this release by posting it on the business Web site, sending it to local editors, giving a copy to clients and spreading the word to anyone else interested in the services of an HVAC professional.

NADCA Warns of Possible Health Dangers Left Behind by Hurricane Ike in Region's Ventilation Systems:

The HVAC Inspection, Maintenance and Restoration Association is alerting homewoners, commercial property managers, school boards and other facility operators of hidden health hazards potentially spreading in the ventilation systems of buildings affected by Hurricane Ike.
Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems that were either flooded or simply exposed to unusual humidity or other environmental conditions during the hurricane may become breedings grounds for mold and other contaminants.
