NADCA Appoints Kim Wieland, MPH, as Chief Executive Officer to Lead the Association’s Next Era of Growth

[FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE]

Mt. Laurel, NJ – January 26, 2026 – The National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) announced today that Kim Wieland, MPH, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.

This leadership transition reflects NADCA’s long-term plan to align its executive leadership with the future of indoor air quality, building science, and public health policy. As the role of HVAC hygiene becomes increasingly tied to energy performance, healthy outcomes, and regulatory standards, NADCA is positioning itself to lead with science, strategy, and cross-sector influence.

“NADCA has built something powerful: a body of standards, technical expertise, and credibility that deserves a larger role in the national conversation about healthy indoor environments,” said Wieland. “My focus as CEO will be to ensure that our members’ work is recognized, validated, and embedded into the science, policy, and systems that define the future of indoor air quality.”

In July 2025, NADCA announced the role of Chief Strategy Officer to expand the association’s ability to engage in scientific validation, advocacy, and standards development beyond the traditional trade association model. Wieland was selected for the role based on her deep background in public health, coalition building, energy, and policy—expertise specifically aligned with the organization’s next phase of growth.

Wieland succeeds Jodi Araujo, CEM, who has led the association for more than fourteen years and will continue to serve NADCA in a strategic relationship and advisory role.

“Jodi’s impact on NADCA cannot be overstated. During her tenure, she led NADCA through pivotal moments of transformation, strengthening our financial position and elevating the association to global respect,” said NADCA President Jim Castellano, ASCS, CVI. “She laid the groundwork for our strategic commitment to validation through science and was intentional in identifying her successor to lead NADCA into its next chapter. We are profoundly grateful for the legacy she leaves behind.”

As the longest-tenured CEO and the first woman to lead the association, Araujo has set a high standard for excellence, credibility, and vision. Her leadership unified the industry, and positioned NADCA for long-term success.

“After leading NADCA through a decade and a half of growth and transformation, it was critically important to me that the next CEO bring very specific strengths to the role,” said Araujo. “I intentionally sought a leader who understands the importance of scientific validation, industry credibility, and strategic execution. This transition was planned with great care to ensure a strong future for the association and its members.”

With Wieland as CEO, NADCA will continue advancing scientific research, standards leadership, and public-health partnerships ensuring HVAC hygiene remains an essential, evidence-based component of healthy buildings.
