Insulation Repair / Replacement
An assessment is very important as a first step in the cleaning process when dealing with fiberglass insulation products like duct liner and duct board. Since fiberglass is porous, dirt, microbial contaminates, smoke odor and moisture can be embedded in the matrix of the liner. Liner areas with visual signs of degradation, such as delaminating, abrasions, breaks, or tears may be treated with the appropriate repair products only after mechanical cleaning has been performed. If repairs are not practical or desired, it is highly recommended that damaged materials be removed and replaced.
